Charlotte Trolley serves the public with our education programs and exhibits. The Charlotte Trolley Museum and Gift Shop are free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM. For those with children, please visit our exhibit, “GROWING UPtown” , free at Imaginon. And for teachers, daycare administrators and homeschoolers, please learn more about our curriculum-aligned education programs here. We are eager to teach your students at our facility or yours!
PLEASE NOTE: Charlotte’s vintage trolley service is not in service at this time, as the city completes construction of the corridor that will serve trolleys and light rail in 2007. Charlotte Area Transit System has extended its Gold Rush bus service to the Southend area with its South End Shuttle. The shuttle runs from Atherton Mill on the same schedule as did the vintage trolley service. For more information about schedules and fares for the South End Shuttle, please visit the CATS website.
